Quotes to squeegee your third eye: Thinking outside your cage - Volume III

"If you want to tell people the truth, you'd better make them laugh or they'll kill you."
Attributed to George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)

Abstract: Ignoring their detractors, the Brothers Jensen wrote an even longer book with the same number of chapters. Quotes to squeegee your third eye - Vol. III, gleefully continues where the ‘Lemon book’ left off. Using satire, politically incorrect humor, and uncommon quotes from celebrities and the not-so-famous, "most of who are dead or afflicted by the ravages of life," the authors continue their efforts to amuse the ‘thick skinned’ and to educate those who have painted over their ‘third eye.’ So whether you're a bookworm, a True Blue American, or a Twitter sycophant looking for someone to cancel, the Brothers Jensen have just the book for you.

If none of this is making any sense to you, maybe you should take a gander at the Orange book and/or the Lemon book.

Introduction snippet: "Generally speaking, we argued, in the first two volumes of Quotes to squeegee your third eye (2018, a.k.a., the ‘Orange book’ & 2024, a.k.a., the ‘Lemon book’), that a significant number of our ‘brothers and sisters in life’ are unable or unwilling to see beyond ordinary sight. The ‘paint’ our brothers and sisters use to cover their ‘third eyes’ is created with the ‘pigments’ of (1) ignorance; (2) the “prevailing orthodoxy” (Orwell 1947), which, by its nature, is uncritical; (3) stupidity, as described by Lutheran Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945); (4) intellectual calcification, which is caused by willful laziness; and (5) a genuine indifference to their fellow human beings. Putting it another way, they are actively rejecting the lessons of compassion taught by the Buddha, Christ, and the Prophet (just to name a few). With nearly half the citizens of these Great United States still enamored by the ‘Orange Menace,’ we — meaning you and the Brothers Jensen — need to redouble our efforts in combating ignorance and confronting delusion. This will aid our fellow human beings in their struggle to become something more than a cog, a dim-witted consumer, and/or a victim of digital automation."
